Top Secret Cold War tick experiments linked to Lyme Disease

Previously Top Secret evidence presented by medical expert Robert Malone has reignited debate over Cold War-era biological testing programmes involving ticks and other insects in the United States.

Malone referenced declassified CIA and military documents which he says show infected ticks were released during experimental operations conducted decades ago, including field tests involving low-flying aircraft and radioactive tracking methods.

The allegations focus heavily on Plum Island Animal Disease Center, a long-scrutinised research facility located near Lyme, Connecticut, where some researchers and commentators have speculated about possible links to the emergence of Lyme disease.

‘Lone star ticks’ were intentionally introduced into certain regions during military testing programmes in the 1960s, coinciding with growing cases of Lyme arthritis, Rickettsia, Babesia and other tick-borne illnesses.

Malone said the expansion was not accidental, but the result of deliberate military field testing involving infected ticks and mosquitoes during past biowarfare research programmes.

Declassified records confirm the United States conducted biological warfare research during the Cold War.

The revelations come as recent claims of deliberate tick infestations on US farmland circulate online.
