Trump attends largest U.S. military parade in decades

President Donald Trump is hosting the largest U.S. military parade in decades in Washington, D.C., to mark 250 years of the U.S. Army, coinciding with his 79th birthday.

Nearly 7,000 soldiers, tanks, military vehicles, flyovers, and fireworks are featured in the event, which concludes with a presidential speech.

While thousands are expected to attend, hundreds of “No Kings” protests are occurring nationwide, making it the largest coordinated demonstration since his re-election.

Planned protests in Minnesota were cancelled following the assassination of a Democratic lawmaker. The parade segments honour U.S. military engagements from the Korean War to the “War on Terror”.
