A Dorset nurse has been struck off the nursing register after she was reported for telling a patient that Covid vaccinations caused her cancer.
A Nursing and Midwifery Council misconduct hearing heard that Penny Ann Senner gave a patient a leaflet containing a link to an “anti‐vaccination website”. The patient told the panel that Senner asked whether she had received the Covid vaccination.
After confirming she had taken three doses, she then alleged Senner “explicitly stated that the vaccines were the cause of my cancer and that this had been hushed up”. While peer reviewed studies have shown an increase in cancers post 2021, authors have been quick to attribute this to ‘pandemic disruptions’ and ‘healthcare access changes’, not vaccines.
