Family Planning news

Dear Sir,

Right to Life requests that the government cease funding the Family Planning Association that received more than 12 million in funding in 2020. The Association is at the forefront in promoting a culture of death in New Zealand, the war against women, the unborn and the family of exclusively one man and one woman.

Right to Life is making a complaint to the Charities Commission requesting that the Association be stripped of its charity status. The Association is not a genuine charity and breached its charity status by actively advocating for the Abortion Legislation Act by sending a letter to all MPs in 2019 requesting that they vote for the abortion bill, the Association also actively supported the Safe Area bill by making a written and oral submission to the select committee.

The Association promotes violence against women and our precious unborn. It is at the forefront in the killing of the innocent and defenceless unborn in New Zealand. The Association has won a contract with the government to participate in the million dollar abortion industry by providing the National Abortion Telehealth Service, Decide for the killing of unwanted children during the first nine months of life.

The NZFPA, a sister affiliate with Planned Parenthood of America, was founded by Margaret Sanger, a staunch eugenicist who held racist affiliations and believed in the elimination of certain groups of people. Sanger, who despised the poor, the sick, the disabled and immigrants, noted that one of the methods to “weed out the unfit” and breed a “pure” human race was through birth control. Even Sanger though originally believed abortion to wrong and was quoted as saying “the practice of it merely for limitation of offspring is dangerous and vicious”. How things have changed.

Family Planning faithfully follows this philosophy in holding that abortion is a necessary backup to dispose of children resulting from failed contraception. The mantra of Family Planning is the same as Margaret Sanger, “every child a wanted child.” Those children who are not planned, are unwanted and should be killed before birth while still in the womb. Adoption is not a preferred option.

Family Planning is opposed to the unborn child being recognised as a human being endowed by its Creator with a right to life. The Association included in its submission in 2012 to the Parliamentary Select Committee for Health that it was opposed to recognising the unborn child as a person and a human being endowed with human rights “as this would erode women’s access to abortion.”

The plans of Family Planning for our families should concern all New Zealanders. This pernicious organisation provides contraceptives to our children without the knowledge or consent of parents. It arranges abortions for our children without their knowledge or consent. It produces sex education programs for our schools that encourages promiscuity. The result, STDs, unplanned pregnancies and abortions.

Right to Life questions why our government continues to fund an organization that seeks to seduce our children into becoming sexually active when and with whom they wish. It tells our children in one of its pamphlets “If you choose to have sex it can be great when you are ready”

It is time for the government to cease funding the NZFPA and provide good quality chastity based sexuality education in schools.
