Watch: 5 children dead in Tasmanian bouncey castle tragedy

Five children have died in Devonport Tasmania, after a gust of wind picked up a bouncey castle they were in and lifted it ten metres into the air and rammed it into a tree 50 metres away.

  • two children were male, two female, and the gender of the fifth is unclear at this stage
  • the children were all aged between 5-6 and were celebrating the final day of the school year
  • the matter has been passed to the Coroner for an inquest
  • a fundraiser has raised AU$140,000 for affected families so far
  • Prime Minister Scott Morrison said the tragedy was ‘shattering’ and ‘unthinkably heart-breaking’
