Former Green Party MP Golriz Ghahraman, who resigned from Parliament in early 2024 amid multiple shoplifting convictions, is now under investigation for an alleged late-2024 incident at an Auckland Pak’nSave.
Ghahraman had previously pleaded guilty to stealing $9000 worth of items across several stores in 2023, including high-end clothing boutiques.
According to a report in legacy media, despite her legal team’s lack of denial when confronted by the allegation, police have refrained from confirming charges due to “privacy protocols”, although they have confirmed “a shoplifting complaint” from late 2024 is currently being investigated.
The latest development adds to a contentious saga that has drawn media and public attention, though Ghahraman’s current whereabouts remain unclear. Both Pak’nSave and the Green Party declined to provide further details, citing privacy concerns.
If she uses the mental illness defence again it might be time she was put away for a stint in the loony bin.
SPANKI….SPANK…SPANK…SPANK…SPANK…SPANK!
Just like they do in Singapore & Malaysia.
If she was in Iran, well…the punishments would be far worse.
Maybe that’s why she did these things here!
