Scottie Scheffler delivered a commanding performance at Royal Portrush in Northern Ireland to win the 153rd British Open by four strokes over Harris English, securing his second major title of the year and fourth overall.
Leading the field in both approach shots and putting, Scheffler shot a bogey-free 67 on Saturday and held steady in Sunday’s toughest conditions to claim his 17th career Tour win.
His victory marks a tenth straight win when holding a 54-hole lead and places him alongside Jordan Spieth and Phil Mickelson as active players with three legs of the career Grand Slam.
