Gray shines as Rabbitohs edge Eels to pull clear of wooden spoon

Rabbitohs v Eels 2025 news

Jye Gray delivered a standout all-round performance, saving five tries and starring in attack, as the Rabbitohs edged the Eels 20-16 at Allianz Stadium to move four points clear of last-placed Gold Coast with three rounds remaining.

Supported by Tallis Duncan’s double off Cody Walker’s return, Souths overcame a halftime deficit in a see-saw clash, securing their ninth win in their last ten meetings with Parramatta. While Gray stole the show, Isaiah Iongi impressed for the Eels, and Alex Johnston’s pursuit of Ken Irvine’s try record remains on hold at 209.
