Joshua Kerry is also accused of murdering former Conservative minister Ann Widdecombe.

The man accused of murdering former UK Conservative minister Ann Widdecombe has also been charged with preparing a terrorist attack on Reform UK leader Nigel Farage.

Joshua Kerry, 28, of Rotherham, South Yorkshire was charged on Friday under the Terrorism Act 2006 and will appear in court on Wednesday, police said. The new charge relates to activities that allegedly took place May 31 to July 8.

“We have been running a hugely intensive and complex investigation for some time. The charge announced today is a result of the tireless work of investigators across the Counter Terrorism Policing network,” Vicki Evans, the senior national coordinator for counter terrorism policing, said.

“My profound sympathies are with Nigel Farage and his family. Let no one make any mistake: an attack on anyone in politics is an attack on us all,” Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood wrote on X. She added that the case “raises serious questions about the security of those in public life.”

Kerry was arrested shortly after Widdecombe’s body was found on July 9 at her rural home in southwest England. Prosecutors allege that the suspect struck the 78-year-old politician 21 times with a hammer in an attack that was caught on camera. No motive has yet been made public.

A Conservative MP for more than two decades, Widdecombe served as employment minister and later as prisons minister. From 2019 to 2020, she was a member of the European Parliament for the Brexit Party, which Farage co-founded.

She was known for her socially conservative views, opposing same-sex marriage and abortion. In 2019, a theater show featuring Widdecombe was canceled after critics accused her of endorsing conversion therapy, the controversial practice of attempting to change a person’s sexual orientation or gender identity. Widdecombe argued that her comments were misconstrued.

Farage, one of the leading campaigners for Leave during the 2016 Brexit referendum, has long faced death threats and has repeatedly been targeted during public appearances.

He was doused with milkshakes while campaigning in 2019 and again in 2024, and has also had eggs and other objects thrown at him.

In April 2025, a suspected incendiary device was pushed through the letterbox of his home and burned itself out. Counter-terrorism police reopened the investigation this year after identifying a previously missed line of inquiry. No one has been charged over the incident.

Reform UK said Farage’s publicly funded security was cut by 75% last year, forcing the party and private donors to fund additional protection. Parliamentary authorities have declined to confirm the figure, citing security concerns.

  1. The 28-year-old allegedly drove 265 miles to bludgeon Ann Widdecombe to death
Joshua Kerry was seen leaving his home in Rotherham with what appeared to be a wooden stick or pole (allegedly a hammer) in his pocket or hand which he placed in the passenger side of his red Vauxhall Corsa
Joshua Kerry was initially identified through CCTV footage and forensic examinations of electronic devices
Surveillance: Detectives reviewed CCTV showing a red Vauxhall Corsa pulling up outside Ann Widdecombe’s home in Haytor, Devon, on the morning of July 8, 2026
Journey Tracking: Evidence indicated the vehicle had traveled approximately 265–300 miles from Rotherham, South Yorkshire, leading investigators to Kerry’s local area
Not known if any CCTV footage exists of the car at any refueling station
The range of a Vauxhall Corsa on a full tank typically varies between 250 and 500 miles, depending on the engine size, model year, and driving conditions
Arrest: Based on this evidence, Kerry was arrested at his home in Rotherham on July 11, 2026, on suspicion of murder
The pair (Father amputee and Son) had a dog and a red Vauxhall Corsa on the driveway but residents say they rarely saw Kerry leave the house, and certainly not in the car

Well maybe but it all seems a bit too clear cut to be true but at the same time could be
Might be a stitch up to allow the real perpetrator politically motivated to escape

  2. Christchurch Mosque Shooting 6th Anniversary Edit.
    BITCHUTE
    Can’t post link
Some BS about “There has been a critical error on this website”
    Who did it? – Nobody
    Who died? – Nobody
A NZ tragedy- that it didn’t happen

  3. Incidentally Reform UK is losing ground to Restore Britain, particularly on its right flank.
Recent polling shows Restore Britain capturing 15% of voters who supported Reform UK in the 2024 general election, up from 10% the previous month.
This vote-splitting is directly costing Reform local election victories; for example, in the Blackpool and Dover by-elections, Restore’s presence prevented Reform from winning seats that Labour subsequently retained.
While Reform UK remains the larger party nationally (polling around 21–23% versus Restore’s 4–7%), it has hit its lowest support level in two years.
The fragmentation is significant because research suggests that if Restore fields a full slate of candidates, it could deprive Reform of approximately 70 seats in the next general election due to the UK’s first-past-the-post system.
Internal Reform sources have described the threat as a “kamikaze pilot” scenario, fearing that a snap election could see Reform drop to third or fourth place.

    Even if it is not.

    • Ann Widdecombe’s home was in a highly isolated location.
She purchased a five-bedroom chalet-bungalow in the village of Haytor on the eastern edge of Dartmoor in Devon specifically for its remoteness, stating she moved there “quite deliberately to be as remote as I could.”
Ann Widdecombe had CCTV at her home, which she herself mentioned in a 2025 interview at the Best Heroes Awards, where she joked about gnome theft: “I’ve never gone in for the big gates and the electronics and all that nonsense…
I would pick them up on my cameras so if anybody wants to steal a gnome they’d better mask up.”
Well maybe they do have their man!!!???

  5. Rupert Lowe’s MASSIVE VICTORY Just ENDED Andy Burnham FOREVER!!
    The Angry Bootneck Yew Tube
Farage appears to be another political entity seeking victimhood sympathy status
Farage and Reform has peaked too early and now is going to be left hanging around to wither on the vine
Having crossed the start line too early whereas Richard Lowe and Restore has started perfectly (Jan 2026)
Reform UK has been in existence for 7 years and 10 months, having been founded on 23 November 2018 as the Brexit Party
The party officially changed its name to Reform UK in January 2021 after the UK left the European Union
Then there is the donation scandal
22 former Conservative MPs have defected to Reform UK as of December 2025, according to Labour Press
Of the party’s eight sitting MPs, five were formerly Conservative MPs: Lee Anderson, Danny Kruger, Robert Jenrick, Andrew Rosindell, and Suella Braverman
So in some ways Reform has taken on the identity and appearance of the very entity it claims to oppose
One thing if any we have learn’t from UK politics is that a 4 year term is too long
You will know after 3 years if your government is serving your best interests and if it needs their diapers changing
And must never be allowed to come in here in NZ not Aotearoa

  6. These are the sort of people who support the globalist bottom feeders. Lets hope this swine doesn’t get a light sentence but I would not be surprised if he does.
