DTNZ back following ‘Super Typhoon Yagi’ related disruption

Super Typhoon Yagi news

Dear Readers,

Many of you have noticed a lack of news updates recently.

I had to travel to Vietnam last week at very short notice for family reasons. Shortly after arrival Super Typhoon Yagi hit the north of the country. I am staying in the south and managed to miss the full brunt of the storm, but power and internet services in my location were down for more than a day for repairs, affecting access to the website to publish news, check and respond to emails, and approve comments etc.

This followed an upgrade of our website security over the weekend of 31 August – 1 September, which in itself caused similar delays.

All systems now are running fine, and thanks for your patience!

Malcolm Dreaneen (Editor).

  1. Be safe and be well. Looking forward to when you get back Malcolm. We all sometimes need a holiday from an overseas trip and facing a typhoon though challenging and adding to life experiences and going for family reasons though fulfilling and giving peace of mind, do rest up as much as you can when you get back. Thank you for your continued great service to all of us who view the DTNZ site
    Thank you

  2. Thanks Malcolm – you’re awesome! I figured you must have been on holiday or something (and why not – you deserve it!)

    👍👍👍
