Norwegian electronic duo Röyksopp have pulled out of two major New Zealand music festivals, leaving organisers scrambling to reshuffle their line-ups.
The Grammy-nominated act, scheduled to headline Splore with a two-hour DJ set and appear at Christchurch’s Electric Avenue a week later, has withdrawn due to what organisers described as logistical issues and circumstances beyond their control.
Splore has confirmed French house veteran François K as a replacement for its February 20–22 event, which will also mark the festival’s final edition, while Electric Avenue organisers say a new act will be announced soon ahead of the February 27–28 festival in Hagley Park.
