An investigation into the origins of COVID-19 by Project Veritas has unearthed documents showing agencies led by Anthony Fauci were involved in ‘gain of function’ research.
The documents are a smoking gun for the origins of COVID for many, as Fauci has consistently denied the US government was engaged in gain of function research under oath in testimony to Congress.
Gain-of-function research is medical research that genetically alters an organism in a way that may enhance the biological functions of gene products. A previous ban on gain of function was lifted by the US government in 2018.
A video of the Project Veritas investigation, which was previously banned on Twitter, was shared by Kim Dotcom late last year.
‘Project Veritas has obtained never-before seen military documents regarding the origins of COVID-19, gain of function research, vaccines, potential treatments which have been suppressed, and the government’s efforts to conceal all of this.
‘Dr. Anthony Fauci has testified many times before Congress stating the US government was never involved in gain of function research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology.
‘The documents obtained stem from a report of the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) which were hidden in a Top Secret sharedrive.
DARPA are an agency under the US Department of Defense which facilitates research and technology with potential military applications.
Project Veritas obtained a separate report to the Inspector General of the Department of Defense written by US Marine Corps Major Joseph Murphy, a former DARPA fellow.
Murphy’s report states the Ecohealth Alliance approached DARPA in March 2018 seeking funding to conduct gain of function research of bat-borne corona viruses. DARPA rejected the application because it was too dangerous and could violate the gain of function moratorium. The NIAID under the direction of Fauci did not reject the proposal and went ahead with the research in Wuhan and several sites across the US.
‘If the Department of Defense considered this research too dangerous to go ahead with, why did the NIH, the NIAID and the EcoHealth Alliance disregard the risks involved?’
