Arrest made in Takapuna Michael Hill heist

Waitematā Police have charged one person and recovered stolen property following search warrants executed at two West Auckland addresses on Wednesday.

The search warrants were executed as part of an ongoing investigation into an alleged aggravated robbery incident that occurred on Hurstmere Rd, Takapuna on 16 June 2022.

A 20-year-old man has been charged with receiving stolen property and is due to appear in the Waitakere District Court at a later date.

Enquiries are ongoing, and Police cannot rule out further arrests or charges being laid.

‘Police would like to thank members of the community who have already provided us with information,’ said Inspector Stefan Sagar, Area Commander Waitematā East.
