A Sydney fruit shop owner has been hailed as a hero after courageously tackling and disarming a gunman during the deadly terrorist attack at Bondi Beach.
Ahmed al Ahmed, 43, a father of two from Sydney’s south, was walking past the scene when he rushed a shooter, grabbing him in a headlock and wresting away his shotgun during a brief but violent struggle captured on video.
Ahmed was shot twice in the process and later hospitalised, where he was due to undergo surgery, with family members and witnesses saying his actions gave others crucial time to escape.
Despite having no experience with firearms, witnesses and footage show Ahmed remaining conscious and composed after the attack, placing the seized weapon safely aside as bystanders came to his aid.

So what happened to all the surveillance and 5 eyes spying? I thought the state control of all aspects of our lives was meant to stop these kinds of terrorist attacks and give us all ‘safety’. The state is incapable of protecting its citizens. It makes everything worse! Those who trade freedom for security achieve neither.
Big brother is more concerend with controlling the lives of us law-abiding citizens than chasing terrorists. In fact, they have and will continue to use those tragedies to establish more state control
Ask if a government who wishes to disarm their people has much interest in stopping a mass shooting which would further support those disarmament goals.
They don’t care about criminals, just controlling ordinary people to keep the populace pliant and subservient, while they strip them of their basic human rights, like freedom of speech (hate speech laws), expression (limits on right to protest) and now legislation, to watch you on line on social media, proxy digital id’s.

Cellphone video does not match the narrative. According to media Ahmed (Hero) was shot twice. At no time in the video did the firearm tip go anywhere near the body or leg. There is a slight possibility of being shot in the foot but heros body language does not suggest this.

Sry guys, as much as i appreciate sleuths, that hero likely was shot by the other dude (son/father) who was shooting from an over-bridge to the right of the dis-armed. That dis-armed dude was crawling toward that over-bride from where the son/father was still shooting. In fact, check the video footage, the dis-armed dude picked up another rifle on that bridge and shot back at the hero.
