Court denies McSkimming’s bid to suppress media reporting on alleged objectionable material

Jevon McSkmiming news

Former Deputy Police Commissioner Jevon McSkimming has lost his High Court bid to prevent media from reporting on the nature of alleged objectionable material found on his work computer.

The court’s reasons for its decision remain suppressed.

McSkimming resigned in May during a four-month investigation by police and the Independent Police Conduct Authority, after the Police Minister was informed of unrelated “very serious” allegations.

Previously, a rare superinjunction had barred disclosure of the material’s nature and the injunction itself, but only the former remains in place.

McSkimming now has five working days to appeal the ruling; if no appeal is lodged, details of the material may be published. Media outlets argued public interest outweighed privacy concerns, while police did not oppose the application.

  1. The public has a right to know because we need to be able to assess if serious crimes were committed or if this is just the nowadays normal woke witch hunt.
Presstitutes and associated co-feeders are out for a frenzy.
And here I need to say something that will offend many people: Sure, a Deputy Police Commissioner ought to have impeccable standards and I do not know how hard a cop has to become to get to his position (in today’s world the question would be ‘how woke’), he remains a bloke.
But if the hoohaa turns out to be not much more than woke witch hunt feeding frenzy, then it would be another man sacrificed to the Me-Too woke pig sty.

    • Yeah, but I think we can all guess what “objectionable” (i.e. illegal) pornography probably means. He also did a fire sale of his properties after getting busted, like he’s getting ready to skip the country. A guy like him will NOT do well in prison.

    • The even bigger question is how a wannabe *** f@&ker gets to be 2IC in the Police force? Historically these people network, where you find one you will find more.
