‘The man has been in the central city and has eventually ended up at the residential complex on Albert Street, where he has entered the building at around 9.20pm.’

Immediately after the incident has occurred, the man has left the area on foot.

There is an investigation underway into this matter, including ongoing CCTV enquiries to identify any further movements the offender has made.

‘Our priority now is to identify and locate this man. We believe the public will know who this man is and we need to hear from them.

‘The public may have seen the offender moving around the city immediately after the incident and we would ask they contact Police if they have not already spoken to us.

‘Residents in the central city will in no doubt be concerned by this incident and we would like to reassure them that this matter is being taken extremely seriously.

‘Police encourage residents to remain vigilant to any suspicious behaviour and to report this to us immediately by calling 111.

‘As part of this we remind people entering apartment buildings to practise good vigilance in ensuring entry doors close behind you and no one attempts to tail gate you into the building.
