Anthony “Aussie” Malcolm, a former National Party minister and key figure in New Zealand’s first America’s Cup campaign, passed away at 83 following a brief illness in Whangārei.

Though he was remembered for his significant contributions to immigration, yachting, and New Zealand’s electrified rail system, his death also coincided with an ongoing police investigation into historical child sexual abuse allegations, according to legacy media outlet Stuff.co.nz. The investigation, reportedly initiated through the Royal Commission of Inquiry into Abuse in Care, focused on complaints dating back to the 1980s involving boys under the age of 16.

Malcolm’s family and the National Party are yet to comment on the allegations.

Throughout his career, Malcolm held several portfolios in the Muldoon Government, including health and immigration. He was a leading figure in yachting, leading New Zealand’s first America’s Cup challenge and contributing to the design of innovative yachts. After politics, Malcolm pursued a range of business ventures, founding an immigration consultancy and co-founding Northland’s Dive! Tutukaka. He is survived by his children and grandchildren, while his wife, Astrid, passed away in 2000.

  1. Well… Sodium monofluoroacetate poisoning causes ventricular fibrillation…
    Appears like a heart attack.
    Remember Norm Kirk.
    He was a great leader.
    Our leader… Not their leader…
    Apple pie… Mmm.

    • Oh God, the sneaky devious guilt ridden prick suicided. Save the shame. Well that’s another dark piece of NZ history. If what you’re saying is true and I suspect it might be.

  2. I can’t remember ever hearing his name, but the fact that he is remembered for immigration, the America’s Cup, and an enquiry into his behaviour in abuse in care says it all.
People who are watching the push to lower the age of consent now probably don’t remember that there was a push in the 1970s to normalise pedophilia. Although it seemed to emanate specifically from England it reached Australia and New Zealand and there were some very odd occurrences. Ted Heath was PM of the UK, Jimmy Saville was a well known entertainer with access to Balmoral, Boys’ Homes have since been revealed as centres of entertainment for many well known, well heeled men, and there were open discussions by the National Council for Civil Liberties (NCCL, now known as Liberty) and the Paedophile Information Exchange (PIE) about the Human Rights of Paedophiles. https://theconversation.com/the-paedophile-information-exchange-was-a-product-of-a-different-time-and-culture-23735 Believe me, this article is full of weasel words and a ‘tidying up’ of people who should by rights have been put in jail.
Harriet Harman – now Baroness Harman – sits in the House of Lords.
There were many men in the western world who thought they were on a winning streak with the acceptance and normalisation of their depraved behaviour but the pushback stopped it then. Unfortunately, they are back again as though the 1930s and the 1970s never happened. I don’t think these people will ever give up.

  3. As an observation pedophilia appears to be quite commonplace in political circles these days.

This may explain the recent peculiar ‘transgender agenda’ aberration and the current attempted normalisation of kiddie-fiddling by the depraved communist/extreme-left/green/woke/pervert types.

    • Shows your age and lack of intelligence unfortunately.

Whatever your beef with Freemasons is, it ought not be mixed up with whatever Aussie Malcolm was up to. I personally know many Freemasons and know many of their secrets and allegory’s and know them to be an honest community-minded organization and like any organizations there is the odd bad apple. Whether Aussie Malcolm is or is not a paedophile is not connected to his being or not being a Freemason.

  4. I know nothing of this man. However, I am not a great fan of putting allegations against a person of this nature in the media without a conviction. This might be hurtful for a lot of people and the police, however it must be said you are up against it if you are male, if you are the mother of one of these boys and men.

Just a few days ago, Dame Bettina Arndt hosted a comprehensive restoring presumption of innocents probe.

It is becoming more evident that the tool most commonly used to destroy families and remove personal property is all part of the unspoken narrative from the owners of the world, the ruling class of the politicians.
