A woman who worked in parliament for more than ten years resigned last Wednesday.
She was Lorck’s third executive assistant in ‘about a year’, having started in that role in October 2021.
Speaking to Stuff.co.nz, she said she raised her concerns with Parliamentary Services in February, and when they got nowhere, with the Labour Whip.
‘Her behaviour is erratic, it is really hard to work for her, she is being rude, demanding, she will ask you one thing and send you 15 emails in a day asking you to do all this stuff – she was over the place,’ said the unnamed woman.
The woman claimed she was made to move furniture around the office as a punishment for not getting Lorck a coffee, and once had to drive the MP home after work hours when Lorck had drank too much at a meeting. She said the behaviour was not isolated.
Lorck won the Tukituki seat for Labour in the 2020 election, defeating the encumbent National MP Lawrence Yule by around 1,500 votes.

On the contrary, those who are being abused and harassed by these MP’s should start making THEIR lives miserable by refusing to do anything that is not in the Job / Role Description(s).
File grievances with the Unions…go to the HRC…retain legal representation if you can do so, and GET IN THEIR FACES when they behave in their rude, demanding and unreasonable demands!
Most of all, EXPOSE THEM so they won’t get re-elected ever again!
Most radical solution; knowing the intricate and intimate details of these MP via exposure to them in their offices, RUN AGAINST THEM IN THE NEXT ELECTION WHILE EXPOSING THEIR TRUE EVIL NATURE DURING THE CAMPAIGN!!!
