Gang members jailed over family retaliation shootings

Comancheros gang trial news
Elijah Meyer (L) and Patrick Langi (R).

Comancheros members Patrick Leonardo Langi and Elijah Meyer have been sentenced in the High Court at Auckland for carrying out armed attacks on the family of a gang member who sought to leave without paying a fine.

In August 2023, the pair fired shots into a bedroom where children were present and at a man fleeing his home, before torching stolen cars used in the incidents.

Both pleaded guilty to arson and discharging a firearm with reckless disregard after attempted murder charges were downgraded.

The court heard the shootings left the victims traumatised and living in fear.

Langi received four years and seven months in prison, while Meyer was sentenced to four years and four months. Crown prosecutors described the violence as “of grave public concern,” noting its unusual focus on the family of a departing member.

  1. Compare 4.5 years in prison to the 7 years in prison for a licenced Firearms owner who allowed his Firearms Licence to expire and still kept his Firearms and ammo in the safe at home…
    Disgusting travesty of ‘Just-us’..!
    We are watching and waiting.

New Zealand Loyal – The Right to Self-Defence

We, the people of New Zealand, assert our fundamental right to defend ourselves, our families, businesses, and lands. This inherent right is not granted by the government, but rather, it is the government’s duty to protect and respect it.

For too long, the government has overstepped its bounds, dictating how we can and cannot protect ourselves. This is a clear violation of our rights and freedoms. NZ Loyal is committed to restoring the balance of power, ensuring that individuals are responsible for their own lives, and that the government is responsible for protecting our rights.

    The Principles of Self-Defence

    1. Inherent Right: The right to self-defence is inherent and inalienable. It is not something that can be taken away by the government.

    2. Personal Responsibility: Individuals are responsible for their own lives and the protection of their loved ones.

    3. Government’s Role: The government’s role is to protect our rights, not to dictate how we exercise them.

    4. Crime and Victimhood: A crime is committed when a victim is created through harm. The government’s focus should be on protecting the rights of victims, not on disarming law-abiding citizens.

    Policy Objectives

    1. Repeal of Restrictive Firearms Legislation: NZ Loyal will repeal laws that unfairly restrict our right to self-defence.

    2. No Licensing Requirements: We will abolish licensing requirements for firearms, instead focusing on education and training leading to a certificate of competency.

    3. Protection of Property Rights: We will ensure that property owners have the right to defend their lands and businesses against trespass and harm.

    4. Accountability and Transparency: We will establish robust mechanisms for investigating and addressing complaints of government overreach and abuse of power.

By restoring our right to self-defence, we can rebuild a safer, more responsible society, where individuals are empowered to protect themselves and their loved ones. Join us in our mission to reclaim our rights and freedoms.
