Germany moves to restrict election eligibility over hate speech

reichstag spree

Germany has approved plans that could prevent people convicted of serious hate speech offences from standing for election or holding public office.

Under the proposed changes, a court could remove a person’s “passive voting right” for between two and five years following a conviction for “volksverhetzung” (incitement to hatred), where the sentence is at least one year in prison. The measure is not automatic and would require a court decision.

The Bill must still pass the Bundestag before becoming law. Earlier proposals triggered criticism from opposition politicians who warned about restrictions on political expression.

    • J3wi$h Nazism never left: and it’s flagrantly on display in the J3wi$h / Zionist-led Ukraine.
      Those who are going to run for office in Deutschlandia will need to assign coded numbers in place of actual words which the Zionist Noahide left would otherwise define as hate speech.
      Example below;
      J3w = 00
      Zionist = 01
      Migrant = 08
      And so on…
      Now, let’s get those codebooks out there, and let’s start numerical communications about subject matter that is outlawed..
      Oh, BTW: Seig Heil is 88.
      Retaliation against oppressors is #69.

  1. And the Left get to define what is “hate speech”, so any criticism of the Left becomes hate.

    They always change the rules when they are loosing.

  2. Merz and his CDU party are polling the lowest nummber in popularity around 15% with the SPD at 20%. Both parties are desperate to ban the AFD party which is polling around the 35% and are the only real alternative.
    People in Germany are fed up with the failed policies of the CDU and SPD and want change.
    What do the governing parties expect to happen if they ban a third or more of voters from having their say?

  3. Nazi Germany 2.0. Wonder if they will be building concentration camps next for political dissidents? Its how it kicked off, last time.
