Police are appealing for public assistance as they investigate the serious injury of a three-week-old baby girl admitted to hospital in the Hutt Valley with a broken leg earlier this month.

Detective Senior Sergeant Steve Wescott said officers were notified on 2 December after the infant was brought in by her family, presenting with an injury considered highly unusual for a child of that age.

Wescott said investigators have encountered conflicting accounts about how the injury occurred and are now asking the community to help clarify the circumstances.

Police have thanked those who have already come forward and continue to review all information received. The baby’s condition is reported to be improving.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Police on 105 and quote file number 251202/5632, or to provide details anonymously through Crime Stoppers on 0800 555 111.

  1. If this happened in the UK, neighbour hoods would find the person responsible and hurt them. NZ does nothing but silence. Child abuse and murder is a continous news story. Other countries think NZ is pretty bad at abusing children

  2. Reactions to being vaccinated, resulting in non-stop screaming, crying, and constant runny stools?
Children who are NOT vaccinated do NOT have this history.
One can only take so much of the adverse reactions, ie screaming all day long, etc. and those who have a short temper snap!
STOP VACCINATING YOUR CHILDREN, and the problems disappear with infant abuse and injuries.

    • It a news story about a 3 week old baby being hurt- and you bring vaccinated into this go away you “unhinged” person. Take your meds

  3. Looks like colonisation fever has struck again!
    Plus the dreaded A S E F disease = Always Someone Else’s Fault
Best run for the hills to avoid the avalanche of excuses.
Makes one wonder if we’ll see constable mick and co skimming over this one as well?
Will we see liardern’s favourite “coster lot of money”‘s covered up, masked goons setting the house / tents etc on fire just as they did in Wellington – ALL CAPTURED ON VIDEO but never shown by the WEF puppet media.
    ???????
