A 22-year-old man has been arrested and charged in relation to a baby who sustained critical injuries in Wairarapa on 25 July.
The baby was initially admitted to Masterton Hospital before being transferred to Starship Hospital in Auckland.
The man was arrested in Hawke’s Bay and faces charges of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and breaching a protection order.
The arrest comes amid another recent case involving injuries to a baby in the Hutt Valley. The accused is set to appear in Hastings District Court today.
