Murrays Bay Mayhem – five people stabbed in random attack

Five people have been injured in a random knife attack in Murrays Bay on Auckland’s North Shore.

A man wearing a hoodie and carrying a large knife attacked strangers in the normally peaceful seaside suburb. Bystanders managed to subdue the man until police arrived, and he was taken into custody.

Media are awaiting an update from Waitematā District Commander, Superintendent Naila Hassan, scheduled to start at 2.45pm.

  1. Sounds religion of peace related, like the mysterious “random” knife attacks that happen almost daily in the UK.

    The longer his name and background are suppressed, the more confirmation we’ll have.

  2. This is why we need Castle Laws for our protection in our homes from the crims who break in and attempt grievous bodily harm, AND ‘Conceal/ Carry Laws’ for NZ Firearms Licence Holders to carry handguns to protect themselves and other in public.
    This ‘suspect’ would have been gunned-down after the first stabbing HAD THE LAW-ABIDING AND FIREARMS LICENCED CITIZENS OF NEW ZEALAND BEEN ARMED!!
