
One person has died following a serious crash on William Souter Street, Forrest Hill on Auckland’s North Shore this morning.
Police were called at around 8.55am to reports of a single-vehicle crash.
“A car has mounted the curb and hit two people before impacting a building”, said police in a statement.
“One person was transported to hospital in a critical condition, and they have sadly now died from their injuries.
“Two people sustained moderate injuries. One was transported to hospital and the other was treated at the scene.
“The Serious Crash Unit is in attendance.
“Enquiries into the crash are ongoing.”

Try wearing a colostomy bag for 20+ years like I do….the danger isn’t undignified diseases, it’s the ‘Senior’ Citizens and their cognitive decline due to age that may be exacerbated with medications.
That is why I’m glad to see the LTSA, AA. etc. require driving test for the ‘elderly’…
While the Boy Racers may be the primary cause of perceived road hazards and problems, the elderly are in many instances just as dangerous!
I witnessed a senior press the accelerator instead of the break, panic when the car lurched forward, in confusion stabbing the accelerator even harder thinking it the break. Resulted in kerb stranding and a very shaken old lady. Think something like that might have happened here.
