New Zealand First leader Winston Peters has reaffirmed his party’s refusal to work with the Labour Party, stating the position was set well before the last general election and remains unchanged.
In a tweet, Peters said that in 2022—more than a year ahead of the 2023 vote—his party had already ruled out any coalition arrangement with Labour, and he dismissed speculation suggesting otherwise.
“Four years ago in 2022, a full year before the last election, we ruled out working with the Labour Party. We did that because the left are full of woke self confessed communists who would turn our country into a basket case. Nothing has changed. In fact they are even worse. No, we won’t do a deal with Labour or their Marxist and separatist mates,” he wrote.
He criticised Labour and aligned political groups, accusing them of holding ideological positions he opposes, and argued that legacy media attention on the issue was misplaced.
Peters also pushed back on ongoing questions about potential cooperation, labelling such claims as “mischief making” and “scaremongering,” and urged a stronger focus on issues he says matter most to New Zealanders rather than what he described as repetitive political speculation.
He forgot mention the Marxist left bias media.

I don’t like or trust Peters at this point but I don’t wholly disagree with him either. National are truly awful, Labour will be even worse. That said, time people started voting for other options than these God awful party’s.

While I support any criticism of woke self-confessed communists, the election to be exploited later this year is the only reason for publicity from Peters. NZ had decades of abuse from the supermarket duopoly and from electricity pricing – but NZ First finally comes out with policies to bribe NZ with after ignoring NZ for over 30 years.

The MSM treated Winston Peters as a joke when he left National and formed his own party. They expected NZFirst to fade away (with their help) and never be heard of again. It didn’t. Peters has always had enough support from New Zealand people to keep his party going.

Whenever Peters brought the winebox full of papers into parliament, the hissing and laughing and booing from other members was nothing more than a disgrace. The NZ House of Representatives acted like clowns in a circus. A lesser man would have given up. Peters did not. He exposed the corruption in high places, and ever since then the media has been his declared mortal enemy. Michael Fay and David Richwhite should have gone to jail for a long time. Be sure, if you or I did what they did, we would have. There is plenty of information about these two shysters online.
Peters went with Labour in 2017, yes, but remember the treatment he received from John Key and Bill English ? Effectively making it impossible for him to go into coalition with National? The real reason was to try and make him a joke once again. To stop him from getting into power and interfering with the globalist plans. Whilst in coalition with Labour he stopped Ardern and company from enacting legislation which this National Party would have continued. I think we all know that was the plan.
We have not had decades of abuse from the supermarket duopoly. Break them up certainly, but the problem arose during Covid when Ardern was in power and then Hipkins. GST on food, importing rubbish food from overseas, pricing our good quality meat out of the reach of many families, then selling Fonterra – these are things that need to be dealt with as well.
As for bribing the New Zealand voters, we all know what Peters has achieved over the decades. We don’t need bribes to vote for him. He has a good team of honest kiwi men and women standing with him. No globalists. No marxists. No ideological extremists. No separatists. You want those? You will have to vote for National, Labour, the Greens or Te Pati Maori.
