Putting Christ and God at the centre of Christmas

Christmas 2025 messge.

Christmas is the best time of the year to celebrate the eternal Son of the living God coming to Earth in human form (Jesus/Yeshua) – conceived by the Holy Spirit, formed in the womb of a virgin maiden and born with divine purpose to bring God’s Light into the world and salvation to mankind – to everyone who believes in Him for who He is, for what He has done and why.

Yet, given the pagan hijacking of Christmas over the years, many of us have forgotten (or downplayed) the Reason for the season, more so than we might like to admit.

But that needn’t be the case this year! Let’s celebrate it afresh, drawing attention to the most important Man to have ever lived – God’s Love Gift to humanity. It’s no less than because of God’s love for us that He gave His only begotten Son, that by believing in Him we need not perish (a 2nd death) but instead be forgiven our sins & shame, reconciled to Him and granted eternal life – spiritually reborn – adopted by the mighty Holy Spirit into the family of Father God as joint heirs with Christ, our Lord & Saviour. See John 3:16.

We are thereby saved and translated into the kingdom of God’s Son, not because of our own ‘good’ works or merit (God is no ‘Santa Claus’!), but by God’s grace alone and our humble, faithful response to His great love – i.e. through faith alone in Christ alone.

God is no man’s debtor.  And so, as we grant Him some attention, gratitude and honour this season, the blessings of His grace and favour are more likely to settle upon us and our families this Christmas.

  1. So true!
Jesus, more than ever before it seems, the only hope for a chaotic world, truly is the reason for celebrating at this time of year.
God’s blessings and best be with you and yours at DT and all your readers.
    Peace

  2. The US is experiencing record sales of the good book. Time for a religious renaissance in New Zealand with the birth of Jesus Christ our saviour. So many people inviting God back into our lives reminds me of the parable of the ‘footprints in the sand.’ God bless!

      • Pick one up and flip to Genesis 19:5 (if you know you know).

If it has the correct passage in the original wording, purchase it.

If certain words have been removed so as not to offend (which I’ve SEEN happen), chuck it down and keep looking.

No point in reading the word of God if it’s been censored by man.

  3. The bull perpetuated by christian religions about christmas should be obvious.

Why did the bible say absolutely nothing about annually celebrating christmas year after year?

Why was there no evidence in the bible of any annual and ongoing celebration of the birth of Jesus?

Why was there no evidence anywhere in the New Testament of any hint of annually celebrating the birth of Jesus?

Why instead was there ample evidence in the bible to the contrary? Why was the existence of Jesus so carefully concealed during his childhood after his birth? The child Jesus was exiled to Egypt by his parents Mary and Joseph to protect him from the genocide exacted by Herod after a warning from God to flee Judea.

After Herod’s death, they ended their exile in Egypt according to biblical accounts. But why then did Mary and Joseph lack the confidence to return to their original Judea which was the birthcountry of Jesus? Why did they instead choose to settle in another country called Samaria, and in an unknown town named Nazareth in Samaria? The genealogies of Mary (in Luke’s gospel) and of Joseph (in Matthew’s gospel) establish both Mary and Joseph as descendants of King David which therefore confirms the authentic “Son of David” title ascribed to Jesus. Hence Judea was most definitely the authentic homeland of the child Jesus. Why then was Jesus never returned to his Judean homeland after his exile in Egypt but was instead further exiled to Samaria until his character as Messiah was gradually revealed much later in his life?

I can think of only one reason which is consistent with the biblical narrative. Herod had intended to kill Jesus via his genocide of very young boys around Jesus’ age but Jesus managed to escape this genocide because his earthly parents obeyed God by fleeing to Egypt. The obvious consequence of Herod’s genocide was to leave a demographic gap in the Judean population – there should be no boys remaining alive in the Judean population around Jesus’ age. If Jesus was returned from Egyptian exile to his Judean homeland then his existence would have been conspicuously obvious because there were no other boys his age who survived Herod’s genocide.

To avoid drawing such attention to his existence, the boy Jesus did not return to Judea from the Egyptian exile. He instead grew up in Nazareth in a different country.

The entire bible story therefore clearly confirms the ongoing concealment, not the ongoing celebration of the birth of Jesus.

The “season” was manufactured centuries later, and the “reason for the season” became a myth to perpetuate dead christian religion which remains alien to the Lordship of Jesus Christ.
