A secure facility that will house protected information for a broad range of government agencies is being constructed at RNZAF Base Auckland (Whenuapai), Public Service, Defence and GCSB Minister Andrew Little says.
The facility will consolidate and expand the government’s current secure storage capacity and capability for at least another 25 years.
“We are well and truly living in a digital age and the way in which protected government information is managed into the future is becoming more and more important,” Andrew Little said.
“The construction of this facility is an essential and long-term investment to further ensure core public service information storage well into this century.”
The Government Communications Security Bureau, as the government lead for information security, is partnering with NZDF on this project, and will operate this facility on behalf of the broad range of government agencies that will use it.
The groundworks and foundations are well underway with above-ground construction commencing in the coming months. The facility is expected to be operational by 2025.

Maybe the alternative / independent pres needs to assign a couple of reporters to monitor what he is doing 24/7/365, just like the government does . (Case in point; a NZ Police Detective assigned to the Outdoors & Freedom Party…!)
The fact that Whenuapai (RNZAF) is being closed down is only to make way for a Super Government Facility that will have it’s own airfield facilities converted over to Executive Government Usage, thus serving the ‘Elite’ of New Zealand away from the public eye. Kinda like the North Little Rock ‘Bill & Hillary Clinton International Airport’ in evil Arkansas that serves the elite of the Clinton Criminal Cartel Party (CCCP) and it’s Deep State Factions, the Alphabet Agencies and the Demoncrat Party!!!!
Watch for an increase in air traffic around the former RNZAF Base at night, posing as ‘cargo’ operators when in fact the old RNZAF Base will be converted to also welcome the Corporate Elite. This gives the unique opportunity for the Elite to sneak around without being detected. C-cas and transponder codes will also present false flight info on the radar, with an SSB frequency being used and undetected that will identify who and what the aircraft truly is.
This could also be the first step in moving the Capitol from Welly to Whenuapai due to geophysical threats and the difficulty in defending the area in the event of invasion(s).
