A senior lawyer at a major law firm has been suspended for 15 months and ordered to pay $73,000 after engaging in lewd and inappropriate conduct at two firm Christmas parties, including grabbing a junior colleague’s genitals and spanking another with a piece of wood.
The Lawyers and Conveyancers Disciplinary Tribunal described the behaviour as “appalling and uncouth,” noting junior staff felt pressured to downplay its impact.
While the tribunal ruled the conduct was not strictly predatory, it deemed it more invasive than past cases involving similarly inappropriate lawyer behaviour.
However, the man’s significant personal rehabilitation, including four years of sobriety and psychological treatment, led to a reduced suspension. His name remains suppressed while he considers an appeal.

I have noticed some so called health professionals ate the most unhealthy looking people I have ever laid eyes on.
Name the lawyer & law firm, as a public service, so that the population(s) can avoid the same in legal transactions!
Same thing goes for Real Estate ‘agents’…!
Lawyers are also our so called judges, lets that sink in.
That’s TRUE; they ‘judge’ on who they will help, and who they won’t help with deflections to law firms that have a conflict of interest.
We were steered to D.C. by other law firms when we had a problem with Canterbury’s largest employer. The person sitting on the BoD was also on the BoD of the employer who violated a family member’s Human, Civil & Employment Rights.
Then we were charged $2300 for D.C. to write 4 sentences in a letter that generated a very hostile response from the ’employer’.
The multiple BoD person was a Freemason…and held multiple roles in several entities, all with conflicts of interests!
This is the problem with the Victorian Colonial mindset that still exists here; BUT-
The Freemasons, J3w$, and ‘Old Colonial Families’ who are the designated ‘Pillars of the Community / Society’ will always get help with legal issues. Everyone else are thrown to the dogs for financial ruin via counter-suits, court costs, miscellaneous fees, and many who are ‘not in the know’ have lost their homes due to outrageous legal fees, counter-suits, and in most cases are ‘blacklisted’ afterwards for demanding their rights under law (what a joke that is…) that were violated with threatening employer behaviour, threats of death in the workplace, etc.
Then, they target your children in the pre-schools and in primary school.
We then home-schooled!
They break into your home and sabotage the roof, causing massive leaking and costly repairs (the butyl-rubber membrane was slices after tiles were removed…)
They sabotage your tyres…and overcharge for your life (AA) & health insurance (SC) insurance.
They are obstructive in customer service scenaruios when you show up on their computer screens as blacklisted or ‘do not help’ or ‘offer minimum’ to the party involved.
They listen-in to your phone conversations, hence we have a code book.
They hold back your mail for inspection…and may indefinitely delay your mail to & fro, w/ ‘courier’ service costing extra.
Much of this slackened off after I obtained via VERY heavily vetted Firearms Licence application and the subsequent issued-licence showing no criminal history, and we then purchased a short-barrel shotgun & gun safe.
I think they took the hint, BUT-
Again, only certain types of people can get a Firearms Licence with less vetting, but gangs and criminals are exempt because they do not ask for the human right to own and possess firearms- they just take that International Right to Self-Defence away from government laws and scrutiny, and make their own firearms via ghost gun parts, 3D printers, etc.
At least they can hunt on Maori land…
As bad as all of this shit already is, and Parliament does NOTHING to uphold our rights, IT IS GETTING WORSE WITH A.I., PALANTIR, AND THE MONITORING GLOBAL POLICE STATE AND DATA SHARING OF THE 5-EYES and 10-EYES COUNTRIES!
