US President Donald Trump has issued a stark warning to Iran as negotiations aimed at ending the conflict in the Middle East appear to be breaking down.

Writing on Truth Social ahead of talks with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Trump said Iran needed to act quickly or face devastating consequences. “They better get moving, FAST, or there won’t be anything left of them,” he wrote, adding: “TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE!”

The warning came after Iranian media accused Washington of refusing to make meaningful concessions in response to Tehran’s latest proposals.

Iran reportedly demanded an immediate halt to fighting across the region, an end to the US naval blockade, compensation for war damage, and guarantees against future attacks.

Tehran also insisted on sovereignty over the Strait of Hormuz. Trump recently signalled a softer stance on Iran’s nuclear programme, suggesting he could accept a 20-year suspension instead of a permanent shutdown, though major disagreements remain unresolved.
