Two health professionals, an osteopath and a physiotherapist, were censured for separate incidents of indecently touching patients.
Dr. Joseph Crozier, an osteopath from Morrinsville, was found guilty of professional misconduct for penetrating a patient’s vagina without consent and making inappropriate sexual comments during treatment.
The incident occurred in the presence of the patient’s child, a factor which magnified the severity of the misconduct. Dr. Crozier, who has since retired and moved away, was deregistered, censured, and ordered to pay for the costs of the Health Practitioners Disciplinary Tribunal proceedings.
In a separate case, Auckland physiotherapist Justin Scott was found guilty of malpractice for indecently touching a female patient’s vagina during treatment, obtaining her private phone number for non-professional reasons, and sending inappropriate messages to another female patient.
Currently suspended for nine months, Scott can return to practice in March 2024 but must complete an ethics course before treating female-identifying patients and pay over $45,000 towards the hearing cost.

A day in the life of a gynecologist
The good
The bad
And the ugly
Do you think that is worse than maiming and killing people with a vaccine that hasn’t been tested properly..
“female-identifying patients…” 🤔
I doubt he’d get in as much trouble if he tickles a pickle.
