Watch: Mass protests against NATO and EU hit Paris streets

The demonstrations were sparked by what protesters called economic “disruption” and “energy and health restrictions”.

A massive crowd of protesters marched through the centre of the French capital on Saturday demanding that France radically change its stance on NATO and the EU.

The march was organized by the right-wing Les Patriotes (The Patriots) party led by Florian Philippot, the former deputy head of Marine Le Pen’s National Rally. Dubbed “the national meeting of resistance,” the rally attracted “thousands and thousands” of people, according to Philippot, who was also a member of the European Parliament between 2014 and 2019.

The demonstrators were holding a large banner reading ‘Resistance’ and smaller placards that read ‘Frexit’ – a reference to a demand that France leave the EU. Many protesters were also waving the national flag.

According to videos published by Philippot on social media, the crowd was chanting: “Let’s get out of NATO!” They also demanded the ouster of French President Emmanuel Macron as they marched near the parliament building, the footage purports to show.

The protesters denounced NATO “warmongering,” as well as economic “disruption” and “energy and health restrictions,” linked to the sanctions the EU imposed on Russia over the conflict in Ukraine.

French officials have not commented on the rally and provided no official figures as to the number of demonstrators. The French media mostly ignored the event as well. According to the website of Les Patriotes, similar rallies were also held on September 3 and 17.

The unrest comes as France increasingly struggles to cope with the ongoing energy crunch, a major cause of which is the EU’s sanctions policy. Last month, the head of the French energy regulator CRE warned that private households could face power outages this winter if there are severe cold spells.

Le Pen also warned that the nation should brace for a tough winter. The right-wing politician told BFMTV that the sanctions on Russia were not working and were harming the French people instead.

  1. It is only some price hike now but the winter has another month away. More protests will follow and they will be suppressed by the deep state agents currently in power in EU countries. They will try the fiat currency creation in the short term stealing fom savers and other bond holders. There is NO way EU will become self sufficient in energy which will take a decade or more even if they move to coal or nuclear. In the mean time, americans will swindle most EU countries wealth, move as many manufacturing to US.

MSM will continue to the propaganda that this is all conspiracy theory, and blaming Putin, right wing extremism, anyone talking truth will be called mis/dis information spreader etc. MSM will enjoy the bonanza of funding bribes to lie and spread a salse one-sided narrative and keep the EU public in dark and russophobic.

EU future is bleak and Germany, France and other West-side EU countries will become like New Zealand, just above a third world standard of living.

    • I don’t believe so, unfortunately.

The WEF whack jobs have already gamed this all out up until 2030. Darth Schwab always grins when he talks about the coming “much angrier world” where we’ll all (be forced to) use less carbon. As bad as things seem right now, this is actually all going according to plan. The goal is to totally collapse the current geopolitical & economic system and create a new, far shittier one.

The saddest part for the political elite lemmings all following him, is that they’re the biggest useful idiots of all. A good number of them, already unable to walk openly among their citizens, are going to eventually start being ripped to pieces in the streets by angry mobs who’ve lost children and loved ones to cold and starvation, they just don’t know it yet. Mr Schwab will be cozy and warm by his fireplace in Davos.

      • Austrian ruling party is re-elected because of their largely neutral stand in the conflict and somewhat use commonsense. On thge other hand, all WEF puppets who sided with the neo-nazi Ukranian regime are falling one by one. MSM propaganda can only have a short term effect. When the economy goes in the drain, and when people cannot afford to maintain the standard of living, these puppet regimes will fall (and probably another puppet will take over). Americans used EU countries very well and the wealth and manufacturing will decline in EU and a “reverse Marshall plan” is in place so that the globalists will shift wealth and more of their power to US.

  2. If Marine Le Pen (Russian translation Marina Zhan-Marievna Shlyukha) had been a young woman after the liberation of France in 1944, for sure she would have had a communal haircut for her collaboration with the Nazi occupiers. She is just a Putin (pronounced in French as putain) Fan, who has been well funded by the Kremlin.

  3. […] Thousands of anti-NATO demonstrators flood streets of Paris, almost every western mass media outlet spontaneously decides not to  cover it. “A massive crowd of protesters marched through the centre of the French capital on Saturday demanding that France radically change its stance on NATO and the EU…. The protesters denounced NATO ‘warmongering’, as well as economic ‘disruption’ and ‘energy and health restrictions’, linked to the sanctions the EU imposed on Russia over the conflict in Ukraine….
