Bournemouth handed Arsenal their first loss of the season with a 2-0 victory at Vitality Stadium, ending the Gunners’ unbeaten start.
Arsenal’s William Saliba was sent off in the 28th minute after fouling Evanilson near the centre circle, following a poor pass from Leandro Trossard.
Playing with 10 men for over 60 minutes, Arsenal initially held firm, but Bournemouth broke the deadlock when Ryan Christie scored from a well-executed corner routine with 20 minutes remaining.
Substitute Justin Kluivert then sealed the win with a penalty after Evanilson was brought down by Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya.
The victory marked Bournemouth’s first win over Arsenal in five attempts, moving them up to 10th in the Premier League table.
Arsenal, missing key players like Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard, struggled to create attacking chances and now face the absence of Saliba for their next match against title rivals Liverpool.
