The New Zealand Breakers continued their strong mid-season turnaround with a 99–86 victory over the Tasmania JackJumpers at Spark Arena, overcoming a fierce second-quarter fightback to claim their fourth win in five games.
After racing to a 17-point lead and then seeing it cut to just two before halftime, the Breakers reasserted control through a balanced team effort led by Izaiah Brockington (22 points), Rob Baker (18 points, nine rebounds) and Parker Jackson-Cartwright (16 points, 12 assists).
Sam Mennenga added a highlight-reel dunk as NZ rebuilt an 11-point halftime buffer and kept Tasmania at bay late in the fourth.
The win lifts the Breakers to 7-10 and into sixth place, while the JackJumpers fall to 6-10 despite strong performances from Bryce Hamilton and Will Magnay.
