The Brisbane Broncos have clinched their first NRL premiership since 2006, storming back to defeat Melbourne 26-22 in a thrilling grand final at Accor Stadium.
Inspired by fullback Reece Walsh’s dazzling display—scoring one try and setting up three—the Broncos overcame a 10-point deficit after captain Adam Reynolds exited injured, completing their third comeback of the playoffs.
Walsh’s performance all but secured his Kangaroos selection, while the victory vindicated coach Michael Maguire’s appointment just a year after the club’s 12th-place finish. Before a crowd of 80,223, Brisbane’s relentless attack and desperate defence sealed their seventh title, ending nearly two decades of heartbreak.
