Bulldogs hold off Raiders in Canberra

The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs held on for a tense 10-14 win over Canberra Raiders in a tightly contested clash marked by a decisive late defensive play from Connor Tracey, who stopped Ethan Sanders just short of the line in the closing seconds.

Tracey was central throughout, scoring a try, running for 188 metres, making two line breaks and helping create another try before Jacob Preston crossed late to give the Bulldogs breathing space.

Canberra responded through a second try to Sav Tamale after creative lead-up work from Hudson Young and Ethan Strange, but the Bulldogs held firm in Ricky Stuart’s 300th game as Raiders coach. The Bulldogs now head into next week unbeaten, while Canberra slips to 1-2.
