Chiefs reclaim Super Rugby lead with crushing win over Highlanders

The Chiefs have surged back to the top of the Super Rugby Pacific ladder with a dominant 46-10 bonus-point win over the Highlanders in Hamilton.

Although the match was closely contested in the first half, with the Chiefs narrowly leading 13-10 at the break, a relentless second-half performance saw them pile on points through standout efforts from Leory Carter, Kaylum Boshier, and Samipeni Finau.

Emoni Narawa also impressed with a try and key defensive plays, boosting his case for All Blacks selection.

The result gives the Chiefs a crucial points differential edge over the Crusaders in the race to the play-offs.
