Chiefs survive Moana Pasifika comeback

The Chiefs powered to a commanding 7-43 halftime lead with a dominant first-half performance, highlighted by tries from Bradley Slater, Shaun Stevenson, Xavier Roe, Leroy Carter, Damian McKenzie, and Manaaki Selby-Rickit.

Despite being overwhelmed early, Moana Pasifika mounted a spirited second-half comeback, scoring 28 unanswered points with tries from Sama Malolo, Tuna Tuitama, and a double from William Havili, cutting the deficit to just eight points.

However, a late rolling maul try from Samisoni Taukei’aho sealed the Chiefs’ 35-50 victory, keeping them comfortably atop the table as they head into their bye week.
