All Whites striker for Nottingham Forest Chris wood has made history by becoming the first New Zealander and first Nottingham Forest player to win the Premier League’s Player of the Month award for October.
Wood scored four goals in three games, helping Forest remain unbeaten with a draw against Chelsea and wins over Crystal Palace and Leicester City.
Praising his team for creating his goal-scoring opportunities, Wood told media he was excited to win the award.
His impressive season continues as he ranks second in the Golden Boot race with eight goals, converting 38.1% of his shots. Forest head coach Nuno Espirito Santo was also awarded Manager of the Month.
