Ramos penalty seals Six Nations title for France after 94-point Paris thriller

France have claimed the 2026 Six Nations title in extraordinary fashion, with Thomas Ramos kicking a penalty after the final hooter to secure a dramatic 48-46 win over England in Paris.

Louis Bielle-Biarrey scored four tries in a 13-try spectacle as the lead changed repeatedly, with England producing a fierce response through tries to Tom Roebuck, Caden Murley, Ollie Chessum, Alex Coles, Marcus Smith and Tommy Freeman after France had initially surged ahead. England led 27-17 before halftime, but France responded through a penalty try, a Bielle-Biarrey hat-trick score and further tries from Theo Attisogbe and Bielle-Biarrey again, before England edged back in front late.

Ramos’ composure with the final kick denied Ireland the championship and completed France’s successful title defence, while Bielle-Biarrey finished the campaign with nine tries, extending his extraordinary scoring streak in the tournament.
