Manchester United and Bournemouth served up a dramatic Premier League spectacle at Old Trafford, trading leads and momentum in a breathless eight-goal draw that left both sides with mixed emotions.
United flew out of the blocks and were rewarded early when Amad Diallo, pushed higher up the pitch after a tactical tweak from Ruben Amorim, nodded home to cap a blistering opening that produced six shots in the first 10 minutes. A 2–1 half-time advantage quickly unravelled after the break as Evanilson and Marcus Tavernier struck within seven minutes to swing the game Bournemouth’s way.
The hosts responded in kind, with Bruno Fernandes curling in a free-kick before Matheus Cunha finished clinically just moments later to restore United’s lead. However, the drama was not done, as 19-year-old Eli Junior Kroupi rifled home an equaliser late on to secure a point for the visitors.
Both sides combined for 38 shots in a frantic contest, with Bournemouth denied a last-gasp winner by sharp saves from Senne Lammens. The draw pushed United out of the top five, while Bournemouth extended their winless run to seven matches.
