Kalyn Ponga’s availability for the State of Origin decider is in serious doubt after the Queensland and Knights star suffered a foot injury during Newcastle’s narrow 18-22 loss to Canberra.
Ponga will undergo scans, with Maroons coach Billy Slater to name his Game III squad on Monday.
