The Seattle Seahawks delivered a dominant defensive performance to defeat the New England Patriots 29-13 at Levi’s Stadium, securing their second Super Bowl victory.

Seattle’s defence recorded six sacks, forced three turnovers and scored a defensive touchdown, holding Patriots quarterback Drake Maye largely in check despite his strong season.

After leading 9-0 at halftime, Seattle extended control in the fourth quarter with a touchdown pass to AJ Barner and a 45-yard interception return touchdown by Uchenna Nwosu, while Jason Meyers added a Super Bowl-record five field goals.

Defensive coordinator Aden Durde became the first overseas coach to win the Super Bowl, with head coach Mike Macdonald praising the team’s unity and defensive identity after the win.
