The Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks halted their NRL form slump with a vital 24-12 victory over the Dolphins at Shark Park, reclaiming their spot in the top eight.
Nicho Hynes starred with two tries and four goals, while Toby Rudolph’s dramatic try-saving tackle proved pivotal just as the Dolphins mounted a late comeback.
Despite scoring two quick tries to narrow the gap to 14-12, the Dolphins couldn’t capitalise, missing key players Kodi Nikorima and Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow.
Hynes sealed the game late, and Sione Katoa’s spectacular final try put the result beyond doubt, marking the Sharks’ first ever win over the Dolphins.
