Jannik Sinner secured his second consecutive Australian Open title with a commanding 6-3, 7-6(4), 6-3 victory over Alexander Zverev, becoming the first Italian to win three Grand Slam titles.
The world number one dominated under the lights at Rod Laver Arena, breaking Zverev’s serve in the pivotal moments and capitalising on unforced errors, including a decisive net cord in the second-set tiebreak.
While Sinner celebrated with his team, Zverev suffered his third Grand Slam final defeat, extending his wait for a maiden title after previous losses at the French Open and U.S. Open.
