The Warriors Community Foundation, supported by the Manurewa Local Board, has launched a pilot programme uniting its educational and wellbeing initiatives to benefit thousands of local tamariki and their families over the next year.
The initiative will deliver programmes such as Tupu Māia, Tama Toa, and leadership workshops across schools, promoting confidence, resilience, and healthy lifestyles.
Foundation CEO Lincoln Jefferson said the pilot aims to help young people thrive and strengthen community connections, while councillor Matt Winiata praised the partnership for inspiring local youth in a community eager to tackle health challenges and foster future sporting and community leaders.
