Police made an arrest in Karaka yesterday after discovering drugs and a crossbow during a vehicle search.
The stop occurred at around 10:30 a.m. on Harbourside Drive, targeting the vehicle’s driver due to an outstanding warrant.
Counties Manukau South Area Response Manager, Acting Senior Sergeant Carl Alexander, confirmed that the initial search uncovered drugs and cash. A further search revealed additional quantities of cannabis, methamphetamine, and a crossbow in the boot.
A 31-year-old man has been charged with possession of an offensive weapon and possession for supply of methamphetamine and cannabis. He will appear in Papakura District Court today.
