The NSW Supreme Court has upheld a vilification conviction against women’s rights campaigner Kirralie Smith and Binary Australia, leaving her liable for A$95,000 in damages and court costs.
The court ruled that calling two biological males “men” amounted to “serious contempt” and “severe ridicule,” and ordered Kirralie Smith and Binary Australia to pin a court-scripted apology across their social media platforms, for three months.
