The Los Angeles Dodgers say they refused a request from federal agents to access their stadium parking lot amid ongoing immigration raids across the city.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) however denied the claim, saying its agents were never there, while the Department of Homeland Security stated that Customs and Border Protection vehicles were briefly on-site for unrelated reasons.
The incident comes as the Major League Baseball team reportedly prepares to support immigrants affected by the crackdown, and Dodgers player Kiké Hernández publicly condemned the raids.
President Trump’s administration has intensified enforcement in Los Angeles, deploying thousands of troops and preparing to resume workplace immigration raids.
False. We were never there. https://t.co/ZquYiW0miQ
