Italian prosecutor launches manslaughter probe into super yacht sinking

An Italian prosecutor has begun a manslaughter investigation into the deaths of British tech magnate Mike Lynch, his daughter, and five others after their luxury yacht, the Bayesian, sank off the coast of Sicily during a storm.

The probe, led by the Termini Imerese public prosecutor’s office, aims to uncover the reasons behind the sudden sinking of the yacht, which experts say should have withstood the conditions.

Survivors, including Lynch’s wife and the yacht’s captain, have been questioned by authorities.
