A newly surfaced study from the Henry Ford Health System in Detroit is reigniting debate over vaccine safety, after legal expert Aaron Siri presented its findings under oath in the U.S. Senate recently.
Siri described the work as the largest vaccinated-versus-unvaccinated birth cohort study ever conducted in the United States, tracking 18,468 children over a 10-year period using electronic medical records.
The unpublished research, formally titled “Impact of Childhood Vaccination on Short- and Long-Term Chronic Health Outcomes in Children: A Birth Cohort Study”, reportedly found vaccinated children had significantly higher rates of chronic illness compared to their unvaccinated peers.
According to Siri, vaccinated children experienced a 329% increase in asthma, 203% more atopic disease, and 496% more autoimmune conditions.
Rates of neurodevelopmental disorders were also sharply elevated, including 228% more developmental delays and 347% more speech disorders. By age 10, 57% of vaccinated children had developed at least one chronic health condition, compared to 17% of unvaccinated children.
Critics have questioned anomalies in the data, particularly the absence of ADHD cases among unvaccinated children. Siri countered that this was not a “fatal flaw,” citing 52 asthma cases in the same group as evidence that other environmental factors were still at play. He argued that ADHD plausibly links to immune dysregulation, a mechanism vaccines could influence, and noted diagnostic code changes likely led to underreporting of autism and related conditions.
While acknowledging the study is not definitive, Siri praised its design for comparing vaccinated to unvaccinated children—rather than the more common “vaccinated vs. vaccinated” approach. He suggested the research was suppressed because of its controversial results, contending it offers strong evidence of a heightened probability that heavy vaccination is associated with higher rates of chronic illness. He called for more rigorous and transparent investigations into long-term vaccine safety.
